When I lived in Tacoma in the mid 80's I would go to a place called B&I Circus which was nothing more than an indoor flea market. They had a 500lb Silverback Gorilla named Ivan who had been in the Daktari TV series in the sixties. He would come up to the window inches from me and I would be in awe looking at his muscle mass and guessing at how much testosterone it must have taken to produce that Kind of muscle.

Years later I was watching Animal planet were they explained that the average Gorilla only has an inch and a half long penis. In my opinion the trade off isn't worth it. :)

The good news to the story is they moved Ivan from his tiny room in Tacoma to his own outdoor habitat at the Atlanta Zoo. My youngest boy was able to see him there 12 years later.
