I'd guess somewhere from 50K to 55K. I wouldn't think it would be wise to go much bigger.

Jaylon Johnson does not look like a freshman

One program/coach that opposed this change was Stanford/Shaw. It seems like a lot of kids can't get an assurance of acceptance prior to the early signing period. My initial reaction, is that in head-to-head battles, top recruits are probably still going to wait for that USC offer while we might lose some depth on guys we're slow-playing to upper tier G5 programs or BYU. Maybe that's balanced by losing fewer kids to Furd.

A less noticed rule is that programs can't hire family members or coaches of recruits to ancillary positions in the AD. Suck it Sitake.

We also get a new assistant. I worry we will rehire ARod

Girls are having an epic season

In a season marred by a lot of injuries, we wind up in 5th place. We lose Baely Rowe next year, but hopefully return to contender form with a little less bad luck on the injury side.

Since last posting-
- I wanted to start with a report from spring scrimmage and had a flight booked to come up to SLC this past weekend, but they changed dates. Boo.
- Denver won an NCAA championship in hockey. Would love to beat them in hockey like we did in skiing.
- on that note, club LAX is doing well and seems to be prepping for a move up.
- Red Rocks are set for nationals this weekend. Would really love to get a pair of natties this year but OU is GOOOOD. They have 6 gymnasts who have recorded perfect tens including a freshman who has recorded a 10 in each event. They seem destined to win this year.
- Will we have a basketball team in 2018? Man I hope LK has some transfer magic up his sleave.
- As a pessimist, the placekicking and O-line depth has me worried about football. Concerns about the defensive backs, however, are rapidly evaporating. I'd love to see Jaylon Johnson's brother (UCLA grad transfer) join him in Utah. A concern could turn to outright optimism. Anticipation for week one is starting to build, and I think it's going to be a fun season for as long as we can keep the O line healthy.
- Utefans is back. Awesome. It will be interesting to see how things evolve over there, but it seems like maybe I've lost interest in the conversation. I think I'll just post random stuff here on the message board and put a lot more work into the team and topic specific pages with less focus on the message board aspect.

Anyway, thanks for reading if you're still dropping by. My kid is doing great now, and I've sort of adjusted to a mild, manageable level of anxiety that it will stay that way and if not I'll deal with it when that comes.

First time since 2003!

I'm finally recovering from disappointment enough to look at the brackets again this afternoon.

Spring camp schedule and depth chart have been added to the Football team page. Most of spring camp is now closed to the public.

Ole Miss denies FOIA request for the NCAA NOA (notice of allegations) saying they don't have a copy. Ridiculous. Trying to hide the document with their lawyers is just going to get everything discovered.
