Spring Scrimmage

1) Injuries suck. A broken arm for Moss is bad news conditioning wise, but shouldn't keep him out of fall camp. Sounds like Dixon busted his knee, which sucks for O-line depth. He was third string (surprise here- wonder if he's had other injuries preventing progression) so not too bad of a depth buster.
2) Troy Williams still doesn't inspire much confidence for me. I hope Huntley and Bateman really commit to the grind this summer and that BOTH get a fair shake this fall. Really wish I'd been able to make some practices in person this year to know how things look outside of scrimmages, but it's hard to see how Bateman is 10 steps behind the others.
3) We're going to be better than good at DB. I hope Jaylon Johnson's brother comes as a senior UCLA transfer. He was listed on their spring depth chart as a starter (for what that's worth) and I think would at least contribute to the two deep. Jaylon has bulked up a lot (check his Twitter). Hopefully still has the speed for corner because he looks like a safety now. I thought we'd be relying on an injured T Boney Smith to transition from WR to CB, but it looks like J Blackmon has locked up that corner position and will be touch to beat out. Overall, corner depth looks GOOD, and given some underperformance and injuries to key guys last year, I think we'll be better in the secondary this year.
4) D line is all good.
5) I hope Raekwon Singleton can stay healthy, because he's the only WR who looks to be as being "The Guy".
Any thoughts?
